As you progress, the game introduces Mystery Items, auto-reshuffle, and hints to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging. With five difficulty modes, including a relaxed no-timer option, and 15 dazzling power-up combinations, every level offers a unique set of objectives and challenges. Navigate through various board shapes and create powerful chained power-up cascades to conquer levels with ease.
Each level in Balloon Drops presents four possible objectives:
- Score Quota: Aim to reach a specific score to advance to the next level.
- Removing Dark Pulps: Clear balloons on top of dark pulps, which come in three levels of difficulty. The darkest pulp requires clearing three balloons above it, and party hats also generate a level 3 dark pulp.
- Bringing Down Popcorns: Guide the popcorns to the bottom of the game board.
- Freeing Balloons from Nets: Release all balloons trapped behind nets.
Additionally, players face two possible challenges per level:
- Time Challenge: Complete the objectives before the timer runs out.
- Swap Limit: Achieve the objectives before exhausting your available swaps.
Encounter various obstacles as you play, such as:
- Party Hats/Cupcakes: These cannot be moved and must be cleared by removing an adjacent balloon or triggering a checkered or double balloon power-up. Clearing a party hat results in a level 3 dark pulp.
- Netted Balloons: These balloons are immobile and can only be freed by matching them with two other balloons of the same color or by a power-up chain hitting them.
Enhance your gameplay with power-ups earned by matching four or more balloons. There are three types of power-ups:
- Checkered Balloon: Available in both horizontal and vertical orientations.
- Double Balloon: Doubles the effect of your match.
- Rainbow Balloon: Matches with any color, offering versatile gameplay.
Unbox Mystery Items by matching the gift box color with the balloon color. These items can either be power-ups to ease your journey or obstacles that ramp up the difficulty, adding an element of surprise and strategy.
