The Buienradar app presents 3-hour and 24-hour rain radar forecasts. The radar image visually depicts upcoming rain, while the accompanying graph shows precise timing and predicted rainfall (in millimeters). Zoom in for a more detailed view of your area using the magnifying glass icon.
Available for Android phones and tablets, Buienradar even offers a handy widget displaying the rain graph—no app opening required! The Wear OS app (Google Play Store only) provides radar, graph, and hourly forecasts, with more features coming soon.
Beyond rain, Buienradar provides various weather data: drizzle, sun, satellite images, storms, pollen, UV, mosquitos, BBQ suitability, temperature, wind chill, wind, fog, snow, and even EU-wide radar and satellite images.
The "Next 8 hours weather prediction" section gives personalized hourly forecasts for your chosen location (including international locations) for temperature, wind chill, rainfall (mm/hour), rain chance, and wind force (Beaufort). Additional data includes ground temperature, sun intensity, air pressure, gusts, visibility, and humidity, plus sunrise/sunset times.
Seasonal radar maps cater to specific needs: pollen and mosquito radars in summer, and snow and ground temperature radars in winter.
A 14-day forecast is available in graph and list formats (hourly for 7 days, daily averages for the following week). Customizable rain alerts provide free push notifications based on your schedule and location.
