Forward Chess

Forward Chess brings a chess book and board right into the palm of your hand!

Forward Chess is an interactive chess book reader. Study the book, follow its lines, and explore your own variations. The integrated Stockfish engine—one of the world's strongest chess engines—can analyze any move at any time, evaluating the book's suggestions or your own ideas. With Forward Chess, it's like having a chess book, board, and powerful analysis tool all together in the palm of your hand!

A key advantage of Forward Chess is its ergonomic design. With conveniently placed "Previous" and "Next" buttons, you can navigate moves effortlessly. A single-tap snap-to-position feature lets you jump to any position instantly. The resizable diagrams are visually comfortable and easy to read.

For broader navigation, Forward Chess enables quick jumps to specific chapters, smooth scrolling within chapters, and easy movement through long variation trees.

Forward Chess now includes note-taking features: create, edit, and delete notes. You can also set multiple bookmarks in each book.

Forward Chess offers titles from respected chess publishers including Quality Chess, Chess Stars, Russell Enterprises, Chess Informant, New In Chess, and Mongoose Press.

Dozens of recent books from these publishers are available for purchase in the Forward Chess bookstore. You can also try free sample books right away.
