Hangman, sometimes called "hanged," is a classic word-guessing game where you choose letters likely to be part of the hidden word.

In hangman, pick vowels and consonants to uncover the secret word. Each wrong guess adds part of the stick figure: first the gallows, then the head, body, arms, and legs. Guess the word before the gallows is complete.

You win the game by guessing the word correctly before the stick figure is fully drawn. Otherwise, the figure is hanged, and the game ends.

Tip: start with vowels like a, e, i, o, u—they're more likely to appear in the hidden word.
