American rock band Alien Ant Farm has expressed disappointment at not being included in the upcoming *Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4* remake, stating it was a “bummer” to be left out after their track “Wish” originally appeared in *Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4*. The remake features a selection of classic tracks from the original *Pro Skater 3* and *4*, such as Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades,” though many fan-favorite songs have been replaced with new additions.
Alien Ant Farm recently addressed the situation after fans noticed a sad face emoji posted on the band’s social media account following the soundtrack reveal. Guitarist Terry Corso confirmed the sentiment, telling BBC News: “Is it a bummer that we weren’t invited, or that they didn’t include us? Absolutely. We understand that they're trying to bring some new stuff onto these releases, and if you've gotta make cuts, you've gotta make cuts. I don't know why it had to be us—I feel like our song was really good on there and it did really well.”
Lead vocalist Dryden Mitchell added: “I kind of get it, that skating feels a little more punk [and] we’re not a punk band, but I think that’s what makes a cool soundtrack—being a collection of different styles.”
Fan reactions to the updated soundtrack have been varied, with some celebrating the return of CKY and Iron Maiden, while others lamented the absence of bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Zebrahead. On Instagram, Tony Hawk himself responded to the feedback, taking personal responsibility for the music selections and explaining his creative direction.
“It was my choice to pick some different songs by the same artists featured in THPS3+4 OST,” Hawk said. “I’m hoping that discovery is half the fun, and a big reason that these soundtracks resonated in the first place. So listen and enjoy the ride.”
While the game retains many familiar skate parks and skaters, it also introduces fresh levels and characters—including an unexpected addition: Michaelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 launches July 11 for PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2.
