Aniplex Opens Pre-Registration for Mobile Resident Evil Game

Following last week's announcement of a new mobile game based on Capcom's popular Resident Evil series, Aniplex has shared more exciting updates. Pre-registration for their upcoming title, Resident Evil Survival Unit, is now available on Android.

Departing from traditional entries in the franchise, this installment blends horror with strategic gameplay. Developed in collaboration with Joycity Corporation, the game is scheduled for a worldwide launch in 2025. It will be released in Japan, Korea, North America, Europe, and various other Asian markets.

An official YouTube premiere was held yesterday, offering the first in-depth look at the gameplay. Rather than navigating shadowy hallways with scarce ammunition, players will engage in a real-time tactical survival experience.

The story is set in a parallel universe that diverges from the main series, introducing an original narrative. It begins in a sealed hospital where the protagonist awakens after being experimented on by the notorious Umbrella Corporation.

Resident Evil Survival Unit: Pre-registration Now Open

Your central base in the game is an expansive mansion where you can decorate rooms, manage supplies, and interact with iconic characters such as Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and Jill Valentine. This hub also allows you to prepare for missions, develop tactics, and purchase gear from the well-known Weapons Merchant.

Adding to the game's eerie atmosphere, internationally acclaimed artist Yoshitaka Amano has designed a new enemy named Mortem. Amano is famous for his art that blurs the line between dreams and nightmares, and his latest creation is no exception.
