Fortnite's cosmetic items are hugely popular, with players eager to showcase their favorite skins. Epic Games' rotating in-game store model, while offering variety, often results in lengthy waits for specific skins to reappear. While some, like Master Chief (after a two-year absence), eventually return, others remain elusive.
This is particularly true for the highly sought-after Jinx and Vi skins from Arcane. Following the second season's release, player demand skyrocketed, but Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill offered a less-than-optimistic outlook during a recent stream.
While the decision rests with Riot, Merrill indicated the collaboration was limited to the first season. Although he later suggested he'd advocate for their return, no guarantees were given, leaving fans disheartened.
The likelihood of these skins returning remains low. While the potential revenue is undeniable, Riot may be hesitant to promote player migration from League of Legends to Fortnite. With League of Legends facing challenges, diverting players due to skin availability could prove detrimental.
While future circumstances might alter this outlook, it's advisable to temper expectations for now.
