Following the successful releases of *The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt* and *Cyberpunk 2077*, not all key talents at CD Projekt RED remained with the company. Some chose new paths, and one of those journeys led to the creation of *The Blood of Dawnwalker*.
The Blood of Dawnwalker was recently revealed to the public and is being developed by Rebel Wolves, a newly established independent studio founded by industry veterans from CD Projekt RED.
Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, one of the co-founders of Rebel Wolves, shared his motivations for leaving the well-established studio:
"I wanted to do something different together with my friends, so we started Rebel Wolves. We all have a deep passion for role-playing games and their evolution over time. However, we believe that traditional RPG mechanics can be further developed and reimagined. We had some bold and unconventional ideas—ideas that would be difficult to implement within a large corporation, especially when working on existing, high-profile intellectual properties."
"Because of that, we realized the only way to bring these ideas to life was to start our own studio. Since we’re aiming for innovation, there’s definitely an element of risk involved."
"In contrast to larger studios where processes can become cumbersome, our approach at Rebel Wolves focuses heavily on personal relationships and direct collaboration. Being a small team allows for open communication, shared vision, and faster decision-making. It's easier to maintain that spark of creativity and build something truly unique."
With this fresh creative direction and a focus on originality, Rebel Wolves aims to carve its own space in the world of RPGs, starting with [ttpp]. The future looks promising as they step forward into uncharted territory with a bold vision and the experience of past successes behind them.
