Deadmau5 Teams Up with World of Tanks Blitz for New Track

                World of Tanks Blitz is set to partner with electronic musician Deadmau5

                You'll also be able to unlock a new tank, camos and more themed after the musician
            

World of Tanks Blitz continues its tradition of unusual crossovers, as this time it's set to team up with famed Canadian electronic musician Deadmau5 for the production of an all-new track, accompanied by a WoT-themed music video. And it's not just that either, as this musical partnership is accompanied by more in-game goodies for you to unlock.

Yes, that does mean that we're getting a Deadmau5-themed tank. The Mau5tank is a custom controller tank outfitted with dazzling speakers, lights and laser effects. You'll also be able to grab a set of exclusive camos, including Blink, which is inspired by Deadmau5's own infamous custom Lamborghini, the (and I swear I'm not making this up) Nyanborghini Purracan.

Naturally, given his preference for masks, it wouldn't be a collab with the famous musician without the inclusion of three new masks featuring the iconic mau5head silhouette. That's on top of a set of deadmau5-themed quests to complete the collaboration.

I think it's fair to say that, as befits a more arcade-style spin-off, World of Tanks Blitz adopts a slightly more playful attitude towards its content than the somewhat more serious main game. So while some may be skeptical, I'd say that at this point you just have to jump in and enjoy the chaos that all of these unusual partnerships seem to bring.

The new Deadmau5 collaboration event will run from December 2nd to the 26th, so if you have any free time this Christmas, you may fancy jumping in and seeing what a nostalgic trip down memory lane this electronic music artist brings to the table (turret?).
