Since the release of Diablo 4, the legacy of the third installment in the series, Diablo 3, has not been forgotten. However, the service quality of Diablo 3 has, at times, fallen short of expectations. Recently, fans of Diablo 3 faced a significant setback when the current season ended unexpectedly early. This premature conclusion affected players on both the Korean and European servers, leading to frustration and complaints across forums. The root of the problem was identified as a breakdown in internal communication at Blizzard, with a "misunderstanding" between development teams being cited as the cause. The consequences were severe for affected players, who reported their stashes being reset and progress not being restored after the season's restart.
In contrast, Diablo 4 players have recently enjoyed several perks, including two free boosts for vessel owners and a complimentary level 50 character for all players. This level 50 character comes with access to all of Lilith's stat-boosting Altars and new equipment, intended to provide returning players with a fresh start following two significant patches released earlier this year. These updates have substantially altered Diablo 4, rendering many early game builds and items obsolete. Meanwhile, World of Warcraft continues to thrive after decades, showcasing Blizzard's ability to maintain a cohesive ecosystem across its projects. However, Blizzard faces challenges with its recently remastered classic games, highlighting ongoing issues within the company's game management.
