Digimon Alysion: New Mobile TCG Entering Development

During the March 20 livestream event, Bandai Namco announced development of Digimon Alysion - a free-to-play digital card game for mobile platforms. Following the successful models of Pokémon TCG Pocket and Marvel Snap, this new entry aims to expand Digimon's TCG audience in the digital space.

Players can collect cards featuring iconic Digimon and franchise characters, construct strategic decks, and battle opponents worldwide. Notably, Digimon Alysion will incorporate a narrative-driven story mode, offering gameplay depth beyond standard competitive matches.

The announcement trailer revealed early gameplay footage and introduced the game's all-female protagonist roster for its story mode, including new characters Kanata Hondo, Futre, and Valner Dragnogh, along with the debut of Gemmon - a brand-new Digimon species.

While no release date has been confirmed, developers announced plans for an upcoming closed beta test, with more details to follow.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger - New Details Emerge

Producer Ryosuke Hara shared extensive details about Digimon Story: Time Stranger during the event. Players will select from three starter Digimon featured in the original Digimon Adventure anime: Patamon, Gomamon, and DemiDevimon - characters prominently displayed in the game's key artwork.

The game boasts the series' largest roster to date with over 450 Digimon, surpassing Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory's 330 creatures. The trailer showcased fan-favorites like Angewomon, Gallantmon, and Agumon in action.

Players can choose between protagonists Dan Yuki or Kanan Yuki, secret agents investigating threats to both humans and Digimon. The story will focus on time manipulation, as players jump between different eras alongside main heroine Inori Misono and her partner Aegiomon.

The event also commemorated the Digimon anime's 25th anniversary, revealed new TCG products, and announced Digimon Beatbreak - a new anime series premiering October 2025.
