Fans Vote on 20th Anniversary Merch Until March 21, 2025

Like A Dragon (LAD) will mark its 20th anniversary in December 2025. Ryu Ga Gotoku (RGG) Studio launched the festivities with a fan-voting initiative, allowing players to select favorite in-game items to become real-world merchandise.

Fans can pick from 100 items, including lingerie, incense, mahjong tiles, a karaoke microphone, a luxury lighter, 20th-anniversary sake, themed pillows, Kiryu’s dragon mask, and other nods to the series’ legacy. Per the RGG voting site, the top-voted item is guaranteed to be produced within two years.

Voting opened on February 8, 2025, and runs through March 21, 2025, with fans allowed one vote per day. A follow-up survey will later decide the winning item’s design.

Like A Dragon’s 20th Anniversary Could Bring More Yakuza Remakes

RGG Studio first shared its 20th anniversary plans in a December 8, 2024, Twitter (X) post during its 19th anniversary. In a video, Director and Executive Producer Masayoshi Yokoyama thanked fans for their unwavering support.

Kicking off the 20th anniversary, RGG will launch Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on February 20, 2025. Yokoyama noted that various events and announcements will follow, alongside the ongoing merchandise voting project.

No further details on additional events or games have surfaced since the video. The 10th anniversary, which saw remakes like Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami, suggests potential remakes could be in store. Fans eagerly await major reveals for LAD’s 20th milestone.
