Excitement builds for Dune: Awakening's upcoming beta weekend, marking a significant milestone toward the game's official launch. On April 25, Funcom unveiled plans for this global testing event alongside a brand-new trailer showcasing cinematic moments and narrative highlights.
The beta will welcome an unprecedented number of participants and, unlike previous closed tests, imposes no NDA restrictions—allowing players to freely share their experiences through streaming and social media. As stated in the announcement: "Experience the first 20 hours of gameplay, including most of Act 1, giving you a thrilling preview of both gameplay mechanics and storyline depth."
To secure beta access, players can either wishlist the game on Steam or obtain codes during the May 10 global broadcast. Additional details about the beta will be announced shortly.
Funcom will host a special dual-location LAN party broadcast on May 10, streaming simultaneously from London and PAX East. Tune in at 12 PM PDT / 3 PM EDT / 9 PM CEST / 8 PM BST via the official Twitch channel. Below you'll find the regional schedule for your convenience:
The broadcast will feature live check-ins with players across the globe, developer commentary from the creative team, and competitive matches between popular content creators.
Viewers can expect tens of thousands of instant-access beta keys distributed during the stream. Prior to this event, developers will host their third livestream focusing on the game's base-building features.
