'Forspoken' Flounders on PS Plus, Failing to Impress

Forspoken, despite its free PS Plus offering, continues to spark heated debate among players nearly a year after its release. While some PS Plus subscribers express excitement, others abandoned the game after a short time.

The December 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium additions included Forspoken, generating surprisingly positive initial reactions. Many players expressed anticipation.

However, a significant portion of those who played the free version quit within hours, criticizing the "ridiculous dialogue" and weak storyline. While some appreciated the combat, parkour, and exploration, the overall consensus points to the story and dialogue as major detractors, rendering the game unpleasant for those who engage with them.

It seems unlikely that the PS Plus release will significantly boost Forspoken's popularity due to its inconsistent nature. The game follows Frey, a New Yorker transported to the stunning yet perilous land of Atia. Armed with newfound magical abilities, Frey must navigate this expansive world, fight monsters, and defeat powerful matriarchs known as Tants to find her way home.
