Pokemon GO "Steely Resolve" Event: Corviknight Arrives!

The highly anticipated Corviknight evolutionary line—Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight—finally debuts in Pokémon GO on January 21st during the "Steely Resolve" event! This addition significantly expands the game's Galar region Pokémon roster.

The arrival was subtly teased in December 2024's Dual Destiny Season loading screen, showcasing Rookidee and Corviknight before their official announcement. Now, the wait is over.

The "Steely Resolve" event runs from 10 am on January 21st to 8 pm on January 26th (local time). Beyond the new Pokémon, players can expect:

• New Special Research: Part of the Dual Destiny season, offering fresh rewards.
• Enhanced Field Research: New tasks to complete.
• Shiny Pokémon Encounters: Increased chances to catch shiny versions of various Pokémon.
• Magnetic Lure Module Boost: Attract Pokémon like Onix, Beldum, Shieldon, and Rookidee.
• Frustration Removal: Use Charged TMs to remove the Frustration charged attack from Shadow Pokémon.
• Increased Spawns: Boosted appearance rates for Clefairy, Paldean Wooper, Carbink, and more.

Corviknight Evolutionary Line Debut Details:

Wild Encounters (Shiny Possible): Clefairy, Machop, Totodile, Marill, Hoppip, Paldean Wooper, Shieldon, Bunnelby, Carbink, Mareanie.

• One-Star Raids: Lickitung, Skorupi, Pancham, Amaura (Shiny Possible)
• Five-Star Raids: Deoxys (Attack & Defense Forme) until January 24th, 10 am; Dialga (Shiny Possible) from January 24th, 10 am.
• Mega Raids: Mega Gallade until January 24th, 10 am; Mega Medicham from January 24th, 10 am (Shiny Possible).

GO Battle Week: Dual Destiny (January 21st, 12:00 am – January 26th, 11:59 pm):

• Bonuses: 4x Stardust from win rewards (excluding end-of-set rewards), increased daily battle sets (20 sets, 100 battles), free battle-themed Timed Research with Grimsley-inspired avatar shoes, and wider CP variance for Pokémon encountered via GO Battle League.

• Leagues: Master League, Great League, Ultra League (4x Stardust bonuses apply to Master League).

In addition to the "Steely Resolve" event, January also features Shadow Raids (including the return of Shadow Ho-Oh), new Dynamax Raids with Kanto Legendary Birds (January 20th – February 3rd), and the return of Pokémon GO Community Day Classic.
