Join Marvel's Console Beta Now! Dates Unveiled

Get ready for Marvel Rivals! A closed beta test for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S is launching late July, extending into early August. NetEase Games, the developer, previously offered a PC closed alpha test in May, showcasing the thrilling 6v6 multiplayer battles and a selection of iconic Marvel heroes and villains.

The PlayStation State of Play in May 2024 announced the July beta expansion to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, alongside Steam. This iteration includes fresh content not seen in the alpha, such as playable characters Adam Warlock and Venom, plus a new map: Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands. A special Scarlet Spider suit for Spider-Man awaits PS5 beta participants upon the game's full release.

Registration is now open! Console players (PS5 and Xbox Series X/S) should complete a short questionnaire [link to questionnaire would go here] for beta consideration. PC players (Steam) can simply wishlist the game. Selected participants will receive an email notification. The beta runs from July 23rd, 6 PM ET (3 PM PT), to August 5th, 3 AM ET (12 AM PT). Steam users can request access starting July 20th and will receive prompt notification of acceptance. The beta encompasses North America, Europe, and Asia, prioritizing cross-play functionality.

While the beta participant count remains undisclosed, console players are encouraged to register promptly. Marvel Rivals shows strong potential within the hero-shooter genre, and this July beta will refine the experience, especially cross-play compatibility across platforms.
