Hisui serves as Hou's emotionally suppressed servant, Shirin, his childhood friend with a staunch sense of justice, and Shapur, a former general now acting as a butler.

The Suikoden community has been eagerly anticipating a traditional continuation of the series, and the introduction of Suikoden STAR LEAP as a gacha game has sparked mixed reactions.
