Legendary Duo Lugia, Ho-Oh Feature in Pokémon TCG Pocket Expansion

Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is gearing up for a major expansion with The Wisdom of Sea and Sky. Launching July 30th, 2025, this update brings the legendary Lugia and Ho-Oh back as powerful EX cards to mobile gameplay.

What's Coming in the Expansion?

The Johto region takes center stage, featuring Lugia and Ho-Oh alongside fan favorites including Eeveelutions, Baby Pokémon, and classic Trainer cards like Lyra and Silver.

Gameplay gets innovative with Pokémon that can attack without Energy requirements - a series first that enables faster-paced strategies and shakes up traditional deck-building approaches.

New gameplay elements include Energy Switch and Rescue Scarf items, plus the Lyra and Silver Supporter cards. Notably, the Lugia EX and Ho-Oh EX mechanics encourage multi-type Energy decks.

Major Trade System Overhaul

Starting July 30th, 2025 at 06:00 UTC, players gain access to:

• A wishlist system to showcase sought-after cards (20 max, with 3 highlighted on profiles)
• New shinedust currency replacing trade tokens for rare card trades

Players can earn shinedust through achievements, missions, or duplicates. Existing trade tokens convert to pack hourglasses (up to 60) or shinedust.

Important note: Trading will be temporarily unavailable from July 25 (06:00 UTC) through July 30 (05:59 UTC) during the system update.
