If you're a fan of Marvel Rivals, you've likely noticed the buzz surrounding the Strategist class. Recently, NetEase Games, the developers behind the game, have responded to growing concerns from players about the viability of the Support role. Following the release of Season 2, which brought new characters, maps, and modes, Strategists found themselves struggling to compete against Vanguards and Duelists. The imbalance has led to frustration among players, with many Strategist users reporting a rise in toxic behavior from teammates during matches.

In response, NetEase has outlined plans to alleviate some of the pressure on Strategists. In a recent Dev Talk post, the developers announced a dual approach aimed at improving the Support role while also enhancing the fairness of the Competitive mode. Upcoming patches will focus on boosting the threat levels of Strategist heroes, such as Invisible Woman or Jeff the Land Shark, while introducing nerfs to Vanguards like Captain America and Groot to reduce their survivability. Additionally, Spider-Man's Amazing Combo ability will see reduced damage range. Exact details on which characters will be affected remain under wraps, but the developers promise minimal changes to preserve the current meta.

NetEase emphasized caution in these mid-season adjustments, aiming to refine the experience of specific heroes without drastically altering the overall gameplay. Moving toward S2.5, with the introduction of Ultron and new Team-Up Ability adjustments, the team plans to explore broader balance changes.

Meanwhile, the Competitive mode is seeing recalibrated performance ratings to ensure fairer matchups across all classes. Although balancing the game is inherently complex, NetEase remains committed to addressing player feedback and improving the experience.

Season 2 introduced Emma Frost as the latest playable Vanguard hero, and Season 2.5 will soon feature Ultron. While fans eagerly await the impact of these balance changes, keep an eye out for potential swimsuit skins rumored to join the game in the future. For now, stay tuned for official patch notes and updates.
