While progressing through the main story in Kuttenberg during Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you'll encounter an opportunity to assist Master Schindel in recovering stolen possessions. Since locating these items proves particularly difficult, this guide will walk you through completing Master Schindel's Toys quest.
To activate Master Schindel's Toys quest, you must first begin the "Into the Underworld" main mission. Your objective involves locating an informant named Goatskin. Start your investigation at the bathhouse by speaking with the Bathhouse Madam, then consult Adam, who reveals Goatskin stole items from Master Schindel.
Finding Goatskin requires strategy due to his timid nature. You can either approach Lousy Mary or track Udo - I recommend the latter. Udo appears evenings on the bathhouse's first floor. Tell him to leave and discreetly follow him. Goatskin will attempt to rob Udo in an alley, allowing you to confront your target.
Beyond gathering information about Liechtenstein, you can obtain a map from Goatskin. If dialogue checks fail, you'll need to bribe him. He'll direct you to find the Map of Kuttenberg Underground on a corpse at the gallows southeast of town.
Retrieve the map from the hanged body. While useful for navigating the underground tunnels, this labyrinthine area remains challenging to traverse.
For efficient retrieval, head north to locate a ladder descending into Kuttenberg Underground. Bring a torch - the area is pitch black. Follow these directions:
Examine the barrel to claim the stolen book and astrolabe. Return via your original path and locate Master Schindel northeast of town during daylight hours. Though initially curt, he becomes appreciative when you return his possessions and may share knowledge about celestial mechanics.
This brief but rewarding side quest boosts your reputation and provides valuable rewards. Though optional, completing it enhances your Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 experience.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms.
