Nintendo's Japanese retail launch of the Alarmo alarm clock has been delayed due to insufficient stock. This article provides details on the postponement and the Alarmo's future availability.
Japanese Alarmo General Sale Postponed

Nintendo Japan's official website announced the postponement of the Alarmo's general release, originally scheduled for February 2025. Production and inventory limitations are cited as the reason for the delay, with no new release date currently specified. The impact on international availability (March 2025 launch planned) remains unclear.
In the interim, a pre-order system will be implemented exclusively for Japanese Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, beginning mid-December with shipments commencing early February 2025. The precise pre-order start date will be announced separately.

Launched globally in October, the Alarmo is a gaming-themed alarm clock featuring music from popular Nintendo franchises like Super Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, and Ring Fit Adventure, with more soundtracks planned via updates.
Initial sales, both online (via Nintendo Switch Online) and in physical Nintendo stores, exceeded expectations. This led to online orders being halted, a lottery system being introduced, and complete sell-outs in Japanese stores and even the New York Nintendo store.
Further updates on pre-orders and the rescheduled general release date will be shared as they become available.
