First Announcement From Western Account

Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X) is set to broaden its horizons with the launch of a new social media account focused on its English version. The release date might be unveiled during the upcoming livestream. On May 15, P5X Official West announced their first major update, scheduled for a livestream at 7:00 AM PT on Atlus' official western YouTube channel.

The livestream will feature special guests from the game's cast, including Kaede Hondo, the voice of Motoha Arai, and Chika Anzai, the voice of Yui. They'll be joined by key figures from the development team, such as P5X Chief Producer Yohsuke Uda, Development Director Yusuke Nitta from ATLUS, Development Producer Jun Matsunaga, and Live Ops Director Yuta Sakai from SEGA.

P5X was initially released in select regions in April 2024. Speculation is rife that the Western release might be announced during the upcoming stream, especially since the developers hinted at English localization plans during the game's first anniversary livestream. The official account has teased that while the release date for Japan will definitely be announced, the Western release is also up in the air. "Be sure to tune in and find out!" they urged.

Japanese Release Coming Soon

The livestream will also provide more details about P5X's Japanese (JP) release. Atlus has confirmed a launch in Japan during the summer of 2025, and pre-registrations are currently open on the P5X JP website.

In addition, Sega Sammy Holdings, a Japanese global holding company and conglomerate, highlighted in their Fiscal Year 2025 Results Presentation on May 12 that P5X is part of their rollout schedule, set to launch "In or after FY2026/3" (April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026), with a targeted release this summer.
