Pokemon TCG Pocket's Community Showcase: A Visual Disappointment?

Players are voicing concerns about the visual presentation of the Community Showcase feature in Pokemon TCG Pocket. While appreciated, many find the display of cards alongside sleeves underwhelming, citing excessive empty space and a less-than-impressive aesthetic.

Pokemon TCG Pocket faithfully recreates the physical Pokemon Trading Card Game experience on mobile, allowing players to open packs, collect cards, and battle. The game boasts a comprehensive feature set, including a Community Showcase for displaying collections.

However, the Showcase's visual execution is generating significant negative feedback. A Reddit thread highlights the issue: cards are presented as small icons beside their sleeves, instead of being displayed prominently within them. This has led to criticism, with some players suggesting corners were cut during development, while others speculate the design aims to encourage closer examination of each display.

Player Demand for Community Showcase Improvements

Pokemon TCG Pocket's Community Showcase allows players to showcase cards with various themed sleeves featuring original Pokemon artwork. Players earn in-game tokens based on the number of "likes" their displays receive. But the current presentation, with cards relegated to small corner icons, is widely considered disappointing.

Currently, there are no announced plans to address these visual criticisms. However, future updates promise enhanced social features, including the highly anticipated addition of virtual card trading. This suggests a focus on expanding social interaction rather than immediate visual improvements to the Community Showcase.
