Roblox Reintroduces Egg Hunt as The Hatch

Roblox is breathing new life into one of its most cherished traditions—The Egg Hunt. A beloved event that first captured players' imaginations back in 2008 is now returning under a fresh identity: The Hatch, as officially announced by Team Roblox.

When Does The Hatch Start in Roblox?

Mark your calendars—the event officially begins on July 2nd, 2025, and will continue until July 12th, 2025. That gives players a full ten days to dive into the action and hunt for exciting in-game rewards.

Already, anticipation is building around what this reimagined version has in store. The promotional artwork for The Hatch teases multiple biomes, drawing strong parallels to the 2017 Egg Hunt: The Lost Eggs. That iteration featured distinct zones across Roblox, each with unique egg designs tied to specific environments.

In past events, players were challenged to uncover hidden eggs using puzzles, mini-games, or even precise timing. Whether The Hatch follows a similar format—or introduces a brand-new twist—remains to be seen.

The reveal itself was quite theatrical, fitting for such an iconic return. It began with a cryptic emoji-filled post from the official Roblox account on X. The sequence included symbols like earth, water, fire, tornado, lightning, heart, hourglass, snowflake, lightbulb, and a black circle—sparking immediate speculation among fans.

Then, on June 11th, 2025, Roblox amplified the excitement by releasing a teaser video titled The Hatch across all major social platforms, including Instagram, Threads, X, and YouTube.

At this point, that’s all the official details available about The Hatch. Whether it evolves into a developer-themed hunt like previous versions or unveils something entirely new is still unknown. More updates are expected soon, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, make sure to download Roblox from the Google Play Store. There's plenty going on right now—from a gacha-style event where you can build your own Tamagotchi dream team to the ongoing Green Empire campaign.
