Rumor: New Possible Details About the Plot and Setting of Far Cry 7

Ubisoft remains silent on Far Cry 7, but a recent casting call leak hints at the next chapter's plot. Reddit users report a storyline centered on a fierce power struggle within the affluent Bennett family, mirroring the HBO series Succession.

Leaked character names include Layla, Dax, Bry, Christian, Henry, and Christa Bennett. The antagonist appears to be Ian Duncan, a conspiracy theorist with a dedicated following whose animosity towards the elite drives his agenda. John McKay and Dr. Safna Kazan are also mentioned, potentially as significant supporting characters.

The most surprising detail is the rumored setting: New England. This would mark a first for the Far Cry franchise. While unconfirmed by Ubisoft, and subject to change, insider reports corroborate the New England location, specifically referencing it in casting call materials. The diverse landscapes of New England's six states (including Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts) could provide a compelling new setting for the game's signature brand of mayhem.

Adding to the speculation, industry insider Tom Henderson previously hinted at a potential split release, with two Far Cry 7 games possibly launching in 2026.
