Sony and HBO have confirmed the renewal of The Last of Us for a third season. Although an official release date hasn't been announced, production is scheduled to begin this summer. It's important to note that this renewal does not indicate the development of a third Last of Us game; Naughty Dog is currently focusing on its next project, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
