DC Studios has unveiled an exciting new trailer for the upcoming Superman movie, directed by James Gunn, set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. This three-minute glimpse provides fans with a closer look at the film's extensive ensemble of superheroes and supervillains.
The trailer features Nathan Fillion in action as Guy Gardner, aka Green Lantern, effortlessly batting away enemies. We also get a clear view of Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and a detailed look at María Gabriela de Faría's portrayal of The Engineer. A surprising twist reveals that it's The Engineer who is responsible for destroying the robots, including Kelex, in the Fortress of Solitude, a scene that was hinted at in a previous trailer where a distressed Superman was seen cradling the damaged robot.
Adding to the action, Krypto the Superdog is shown executing a flying punch against The Engineer, demonstrating his readiness to engage in the fight against villains. The trailer also showcases Lex Luthor, played by Nicholas Hoult, and introduces Ultraman into the mix. Additionally, we see more of Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan's Rex Mason, also known as Metamorpho.
The Hammer of Boravia, a new character crafted by Gunn for the movie and speculated to be Ultraman in disguise, makes a significant appearance following its reveal in a teaser trailer released just a day earlier.

The trailer also delves into the dynamic relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane, highlighting a pivotal interview scene where Lois questions Clark in his Superman persona. The discussion turns heated as they debate the morality of Superman's intervention in a foreign war ("I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!"). This leads to The Hammer of Boravia launching an attack on Downtown Metropolis in retaliation.
In another compelling moment, a civilian is seen helping Superman out of a hole in the ground during the battle with The Hammer of Boravia. This scene stands in stark contrast to other footage where the public is shown reacting negatively to Superman, even hurling objects at him.
