The global launch of Umamusume: Pretty Derby is just around the corner, with only 10 days remaining until release. Developers have revealed exciting features and modifications coming to the English version.
Players can look forward to several key features available from day one: landscape mode during races and a jukebox function. The development team is also implementing quality-of-life improvements faster than the original Japanese version received them.
Notably, the Guided Career feature - which took four years to reach the Japanese version - will be present at launch. Cross-platform play between mobile and PC will also be supported from the beginning.
While maintaining all original Japanese content, the global version will feature a significantly faster release schedule. Events and scout banners will follow the same duration as the original, but with much shorter intervals between them.
This condensed schedule presents both opportunities and challenges:
The faster pace may require careful resource management, especially for free-to-play players aiming to collect limited characters. Unlike some global adaptations that adjust reward structures, Umamusume: Pretty Derby's English version appears to be maintaining original systems while accelerating the content timeline.
Prospective players can currently pre-register via the Google Play Store. For fans of Japanese mobile games, we also recommend checking out coverage of the upcoming Nekopara Sekai Connect for Android.
