For all the completionists and trophy hunters out there, you’ll be thrilled to learn that Monster Hunter Wilds offers some challenging hidden achievements. Let us guide you through unlocking all of them.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, you'll find 12 secret achievements. Seven of these are linked to the main story and will unlock naturally as you progress. The remaining five are tied to optional objectives, detailed below:
Let's dive into how to achieve each of these.
To unlock this achievement, head to Zone 11 of the Windward Plains at night. Equip yourself with screamer pods and look for a Baunos flying near the gathering spots. Shoot the screamer pods at the Baunos, then use your Capture Net to catch it.
You can achieve this in any map by seeking out tight corners and dead ends. Specifically, go to Zone 6 of the Scarlet Forest and find the small puddle of water. Use your Capture Net to catch the small golden crab. Alma often comments when you're near a creature with the Ancient Wyvern Coin, hinting at its presence.
Once you reach High Rank missions, you can start crafting Artian gear. To get Rarity 8 weapons and materials, you'll need to hunt Tempered monsters while equipped with Rarity 7 gear.
Make sure not to confuse Tempered monsters with Frenzied ones; the former are outlined in purple on the minimap, while the latter are outlined in red. Both slaying and capturing Tempered monsters contribute to this achievement. They start appearing from Chapter 4 onward in High Rank content.
This achievement involves hunting 50 Apex Predators. The following monsters count towards this:
