Monster Hunter Now's Season 4: A Frosty New Adventure Awaits!
Niantic has unleashed Season 4 of Monster Hunter Now, transporting players to a breathtaking winter wonderland. Prepare for icy challenges and exciting new additions to keep the hunt thrilling, even with virtual frostbite!
What's New in Season 4?
This season introduces a snowy tundra habitat, complete with biting winds, deep snowdrifts, and a host of formidable monsters. Newcomers include Lagombi, Volvidon, Somnacanth, and the fearsome Tigrex. Returning favorites like Barioth, Wulg, and Cortos also make appearances. Tigrex will be a prominent opponent in Hunt-a-thons and may even surprise you in the field. Unlock these creatures by completing urgent quests throughout Season 4's story chapters. Access to the tundra unlocks after finishing the prologue.
A powerful new weapon joins the arsenal: the Switch Axe! This versatile weapon seamlessly transitions between Axe Mode for powerful, wide-ranging attacks and Sword Mode for devastating close-quarters combat. Unlock the Switch Gauge by completing Chapter 2 of the pre-season story.
Season 4 also introduces customizable Palico companions! These helpful allies aid in material gathering and monster scouting. Personalize their fur color, facial features, and even give them a unique name. AR functionality lets you bring your Palico into the real world for some memorable photos.
Adding a social element, Friend Cheering lets you support your friends. Send a cheer for a temporary health boost, though there's a daily limit to this helpful feature.
