This digital application provides quick access to the scholarly works and biographies of prominent figures within a specific sect.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Technological advancements have become indispensable in modern life. To maintain relevance in a globalized world and preserve its rich scholarly heritage, this application makes this important body of knowledge readily accessible to a wider audience. The Heritage Revival Center at the al-Abbas's shrines houses a significant collection of works, previously underutilized due to limited print availability despite individual efforts to publish certain volumes.
This application offers a digital presentation of this valuable resource for scholars and enthusiasts. It facilitates research and exploration of the lives and works of leading figures within the sect, significantly reducing research time.
The application presents the book in three formats:
- A text format closely mirroring the original publication.
- A digital replica of the printed book.
- A unique feature: a digital image of the author's handwritten manuscript. This allows users to verify potential typographical errors, a significant advantage given the lack of proofreading in many previously published volumes.
This application offers several key advantages for researchers:
- Independent access to each of the three book versions.
- Search functionality across the entire encyclopedia or specific sections (standard and advanced search options).
- Text copying and sharing capabilities.
- Printing options for all three formats.
- Simultaneous viewing of text and printed versions, with adjustable zoom and page linking.
- Indexes of translators (both per volume and for the entire encyclopedia), with search functionality.
- Bookmarking of pages across all three formats.
- Note-taking and commenting features for each page and format.
We extend our gratitude to all who contributed to this project, including Sheikh Agha Buzurk al-Tharani for his typesetting and publication efforts, those who preserved the handwritten manuscript, and the team who developed this application. May God reward them all generously.
