Introducing the Alphabet for Children and Toddlers, a lovingly crafted educational game designed for kids aged 3 to 5 years and younger. This game, developed with passion by a parent for their own child, is perfect for learning the Russian alphabet, letters, and sounds in an engaging and interactive way.
Our app features multiple learning modes, including letters, sounds, vowels, consonants, voiced, and unvoiced sounds. With a vibrant and user-friendly interface, and professional voiceovers by a Russian language teacher, your child will be immersed in a fun and educational experience.
Understanding the alphabet is crucial for young learners as it lays the foundation for quick reading skills. Our game offers two voiceover options: one for sounds and another for letters, both in Russian.
The Alphabet for Children is designed for kids as young as 3, with the optimal age for learning ranging from 4 to 6 years old. Exceptional learners can start even earlier, but 5 years old is typically ideal, especially in preparation for school.
Begin the journey with vowels: A, O, U, Y, I, E, Yo, E, Yu, Ya (10 vowels in total). These are easier to pronounce and ideal for beginners. Initially, focus on the 6 simple vowel sounds: A, O, U, Y, I, E, followed by the 4 compound vowel letters: E (Y + O), E (Y + E), Yu (Y + U), Ya (Y + A). Vowels can also be categorized into stressed and unstressed.
The next step involves consonants: B, V, G, D, ZH, Z, J, K, L, M, N, P, R, S, T, F, X, Ts, Ch, Sh, Shch (21 consonants in total), plus two auxiliary letters Ь and Ъ. The Russian alphabet comprises a total of 33 letters.
This educational game is entirely free and designed to help your child master sounds and letters efficiently. If your child enjoys the game, please leave a review – it's the best way to show your appreciation. Thank you, and may happiness fill your family's life!
