The goal of Thousand is simple: players take turns rolling dice and tallying their scores. The first player to reach 1,000 points wins. However, not every roll counts toward your score—the game uses a special points system with five dice. These dice can earn points individually or through various combinations. Each turn starts with a roll of all five dice. After the roll, you check for scoring combinations. You then set aside any dice that have earned points and may re-roll the rest if you wish.
