How to Play 101 Okey Vip Game Without Internet
101 Okey Vip is played in multiple rounds with four players. The objective is to finish the game with the fewest points possible. The player with the least points at the end of all rounds emerges as the winner. Points are calculated based on the numbers on the remaining tiles (e.g., a red 3 equals three points, a black 11 equals 11 points). The game ends when there are no more tiles left to draw or when a player completes their hand.
Getting Started with the Game
After determining the dealer, they distribute 21 stones to each player and 22 to the player on their right. The remaining stones stay face down on the table, with one stone left open to determine the joker (OKEY piece). The game proceeds counterclockwise, starting with the player to the right of the dealer, who has 22 tiles. This player begins by discarding a tile without drawing. Play continues with each player either drawing a tile from the deck or taking the last discarded tile. If a player's total reaches 101, they can open their hand by placing their arranged series on the table. If unable to open, the player discards a tile to end their turn. Every player must discard a tile to complete their turn, even if they've opened their entire hand.
Joker (Okey Stone or Riziko)
The joker, or okey stone, changes with each game. Two joker tiles, known as fake jokers, represent the number one higher than the face-up tile. Jokers have a distinct appearance from standard pieces. For example, if the indicator piece is a blue 5, the real jokers are the two blue 6s in play. These fake jokers are valued as blue 6.
Deals and Showing Hands
To open a hand, you need at least 101 points. You can open with 3 or 4 sets of different colors with the same numbers (e.g., black 5, red 5, and blue 5) or a sequential set of the same color (e.g., red 7, 8, 9). Each set must have at least 3 stones. To add to existing sets, you must first reach 101 points and open your hand. You can open your hand and add to other sets in the same game. If you take a discarded tile, you must use it. If you haven't opened your hand yet, you must open it upon taking the tile, using it in one of your sets. If the tile can't be used to create a set or open a hand, it's returned, and you draw from the deck without penalty.
Doubles
Another way to open your hand is by collecting at least five pairs of tiles. A pair consists of two identical stones. If you open your hand with doubles, you can't open a normal set in that game but can add to sets opened by other players.
