By harnessing the power of your Android tablet or smartphone, you can now take command of your BaitBoat with ease. The essential software is readily available for free on the Google Play Store, compatible with any Android device equipped with Bluetooth functionality. The connection between your tablet and the boat is facilitated through a Bluetooth transmitter box, enabling you to control the vessel entirely through the touchscreen interface.
In manual mode, steering your BaitBoat is as intuitive as using a regular remote control, but with the added advantage of a touchscreen. The app displays the boat's position, route, and orientation on a map, which is continuously updated, thanks to the integrated GPS and compass functions. You can also pinpoint and label promising fishing spots detected by the echo sounder, such as "jetty left", "spot 1", or "home", for easy reference and future use.
Switch to autopilot mode, and you can create customized routes by selecting and combining saved points with specific actions. For example, you could program the boat to: 1) navigate to "Sandbank" and open the right hopper upon arrival, 2) proceed to "Spot 2" and open the left hopper, and 3) return to the fishing spot and signal with a blink. With the capacity to store an almost unlimited number of spots and routes, the boat will follow your pre-set instructions autonomously. The system boasts high-precision guidance, achieving 90% accuracy within 30cm, thanks to advanced position and acceleration sensors, as well as the latest GPS and compass technology.
The Carplounge Autopilot also smartly handles line tension, particularly when deploying multiple rods to different spots simultaneously. If the line is tensioned while the boat is in motion, the onboard electronics detect this and adjust the boat's steering to maintain a direct course to the target, avoiding unnecessary turns and line bends.
While the autopilot replaces the conventional remote control, we offer the flexibility to connect a remote to the system if preferred. This means you can switch between controlling the BaitBoat via your tablet or the traditional remote. The app is optimized for 10-inch Android tablets, providing a seamless touchscreen experience.
