How to play the Çanak Okey game.
The offline Okey game is designed for 4 players. In Çanak Okey, you can use a cue stick to organize your tiles.
Çanak Okey tiles come in four colors: Red, Black, Yellow, and Blue.
Tiles in Çanak Okey are numbered from 1 to 13.
There are also two fake okey tiles in the game.
A total of 106 tiles are used in Çanak Okey.
At the start, all tiles are shuffled and automatically dealt. The player next to the dealer receives 15 tiles, while the others get 14.
Each player arranges their tiles using cues and forms groups of three or more, or pairs.
In Çanak Okey, the leftover tiles are placed face-down in the middle of the table.
The tile revealed from the center stack becomes the indicator tile.
The tile matching the indicator’s color and number is known as the Okey tile.
In Çanak Okey, the Okey tile can substitute for any other tile.
If you finish the round using the Okey tile (throwing okey), your points are doubled.
Normal tile arrangement in Çanak Okey:
Players group their tiles into sets of at least three. There are two main types of valid sets:
The first is a sequence of same-colored tiles in numerical order.
The second is a group of the same number in different colors.
Pair formation in Çanak Okey:
If a player arranges all tiles into seven pairs and discards the final tile, the game ends.
Indicator rule in Çanak Okey:
At the start of a new turn, if a player holds the indicator tile and it matches the Okey color, other players lose 2 points; otherwise, no penalty applies.
Finishing the game in Çanak Okey:
A normal finish (without okey) results in a standard win. If finished using an okey-colored tile, opponents lose 4 points; otherwise, they lose 2.
If you finish with seven pairs, other players lose 4 points.
A color finish—when all tiles are the same color and run from 1 to 13—ends the game instantly, reducing all opponents’ scores to zero.
If all tiles are the same color but not in sequence, opponents lose 8 points.
