Infected and Nuketown Arrive This Week

The fast-paced "Infected" mode, a Call of Duty staple, launches tomorrow, pitting survivors against player-controlled zombies. Nuketown, the beloved map first introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010), will follow on November 1st. This 1950s-themed map, inspired by US nuclear test sites, promises intense close-quarters combat. Activision has previously stated its commitment to regular post-launch content updates for Black Ops 6. The game initially launched with 11 standard multiplayer modes, including variations with disabled Scorestreaks and a Hardcore mode.

Black Ops 6 Update Addresses Several Bugs

A recent update addressed numerous issues reported by players. These fixes included improvements to Team Deathmatch, Control, Search & Destroy, and Gunfight XP rates. Activision stated that they are actively monitoring XP rates across all modes. The patch also resolved various bugs:

  • Global Fixes: Resolved loadout highlighting, Operator animation issues (Bailey), and the "Mute Licensed Music" setting functionality.
  • Map Fixes: Addressed exploits allowing players to leave the intended playspace on Babylon, Lowtown, and Red Card maps. Red Card also received stability improvements. General in-game interaction stability was also enhanced.
  • Multiplayer Fixes: Fixed matchmaking issues preventing quick player replacements, prevented Private Matches from forfeiting with zero players on a team, and addressed a persistent sound issue with the Dreadnought Scorestreak.
