In a recent interview with French YouTuber mistermv on May 2, Expedition 33 Director Guillaume Broche discussed the studio's plans following their remarkable launch.

Broche emphasized that the game's success has significantly altered their future strategies, stating, "Well, at this point, considering the success of the game, it kind of changes everything." This success has sparked a flurry of opportunities, and the team is carefully considering their next steps.

When asked about the potential for a Switch 2 release, Broche was cautiously optimistic. He noted, "So clearly, it's too early to say, but we're kind of in a situation where... let's say there are a lot of opportunities showing up - way too many at once - and we're figuring out what we'll go for and what we won't. But yeah, it's definitely something that could be interesting." As the Switch 2 is set to launch soon, it seems fitting that this year's top-rated game might find its way onto the new handheld console. No Official Merchandise…Yet!

Amidst the game's success, Sandfall Interactive is also facing a surge of requests and opportunities, including inquiries about official merchandise. Notably, fans have expressed interest in an official plush of the beloved character, Esquie. However, Sandfall has yet to release any official merchandise and has warned fans about counterfeit products circulating online. In a tweet on May 14, they clarified, "To be clear: any third-party websites selling Esquie plushies are NOT officially licensed."

They further cautioned against purchasing these items, many of which feature AI-generated artwork, and may be part of scams. Despite this, Sandfall is actively working on creating official Esquie plushies. In their tweet, they reassured fans, "But here’s the wheee to balance out the whooo: we are looking into making official Esquie plushies, and we want to bring them to you as soon as we can. In the meantime, please be patient — and don’t get scammed!"
