The mobile strategy tower defense game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, is ending its global run. While the Japanese version will continue, the global servers will shut down on August 29th, 2024. This means no new downloads, purchases, or logins will be possible after that date; the game's social media presence will also cease.
Developed by f4samurai and DMM Games, and published by Komoe, the game launched globally in September 2023, falling short of its first anniversary. The reasons for the closure remain unstated by the developers, but low download numbers and generally negative global reviews are likely contributing factors. Many licensed anime games struggle to maintain a global player base compared to their Japanese counterparts.
Despite its short lifespan internationally, the Japanese version continues to thrive. Japanese players interested in the game can still find it on the Google Play Store.
