DC Comics Unveils Batman: Hush 2 Preview Art

2025 is set to be a landmark year for DC Comics, with one of the most anticipated releases being the long-awaited sequel to the iconic Batman: Hush saga, titled Batman: Hush 2. This sequel is especially significant as it marks the return of DC's President, Publisher, and Chief Creative Officer, Jim Lee, to the helm of a monthly Batman comic. The new storyline, launching in Batman #158 in March, serves as a direct follow-up to the critically acclaimed Hush saga that originally ran from 2002 to 2004.

Since the original Hush storyline concluded, DC has explored various Hush-themed narratives, but Batman: Hush 2 marks the first time the original creative team has reunited for a sequel. This eagerly awaited series brings back writer Jeph Loeb, artist Jim Lee, inker Scott Williams, colorist Alex Sinclair, and letterer Richard Starkings.

Building on the recent epilogue featured in the Batman: Hush 20th Anniversary Edition, Hush 2 introduces a gripping new mystery. Batman uncovers evidence that his childhood friend Tommy Elliot, also known as Hush, survived their last encounter. This revelation sets the stage for Hush to manipulate Batman's network of allies and enemies, adding a fresh layer of intrigue to the series.

The Hush 2 storyline will unfold across Batman #158-163, with the first issue slated to hit stores on March 26. Following the conclusion of Hush 2, DC plans to relaunch the series with a new #1 issue and a new costume design. This new era for the Dark Knight will be crafted by writer Matt Fraction and artist Jorge Jimenez.
