Elden Ring Set for Nintendo Switch 2 Release in 2025

Elden Ring is set to make its debut on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025, a thrilling announcement that came during Nintendo's Switch 2 Direct. While it's not yet clear how this version will compare to those released on other platforms, the inclusion in today's presentation signals that Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition will soon be available to Nintendo enthusiasts.

Since its launch in February 2022, Elden Ring has become a cultural phenomenon, amassing over 13 million sales within the first month and reaching nearly 29 million copies sold to date. The game has inspired unique feats, such as defeating bosses with the Nintendo Switch Ring Fit controller and sparking ambitious speedrunning challenges. Following its success, the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC released in 2023 further captivated fans, and the upcoming cooperative spin-off, Elden Ring: Nightreign, has shown promising results in early public network test sessions.
