E.R.P.O. is packed with thrilling encounters against a variety of monstrous creatures, but unlike other survival horror games like Pressure, you're not left defenseless. You have the ability to fight back using specific tactics and survival strategies tailored to each monster. Below is a comprehensive guide on how to survive all the monsters in E.R.P.O.
As E.R.P.O. continues to evolve with new monsters, it's a good idea to bookmark this page for the latest updates. Below, you'll find detailed guides on specific monsters, along with general strategies for combat.
Melee Combat: You can purchase melee weapons like the Machete or Hammer from the in-game shop for 10k to 20k cash. These will appear in your next level, ready to be picked up with M1 and used to swing at monsters. When facing ranged attackers like the Huntsman, employ a hit-and-run tactic to minimize damage taken. Always carry healing packs for melee engagements.
Grenades and Mines: Available in the shop, grenades can be picked up with M1, unscrewed with E, and then thrown or left to detonate. They can kill weaker monsters outright and severely damage tougher ones. Mines are placed on the ground and trigger upon contact, making them ideal for ambushes.
Monster Brawl: You can use one monster against another. For instance, bait a Huntsman into shooting another monster by positioning yourself behind the target and making noise. Similarly, pulling Reapers into each other during their attack animations can cause them to damage one another.

The Robe, a large shadowy figure, will grab and damage you on contact. To evade, either crouch to hide or keep moving to kite it. For a direct approach, lure it into two grenades or mines. Melee combat is not advised due to Robe's high damage output. Be cautious as it teleports and accelerates towards you if you look at its mask.

The Reaper, a doll-like creature with spinning sword arms, is less damaging than the Robe and can be defeated more easily with melee weapons. It can be kited or avoided, and a single grenade combined with a few hits can take it down. Grenades and mines also stun it, making it easier to finish off.

These seemingly harmless ducks become aggressive if provoked—either by being grabbed or harmed. Once enraged, they relentlessly pursue you, dealing low damage but impossible to shake off. Your best strategy is to outrun them or use melee weapons for a quick dispatch. Using grenades is overkill given their low health.

The Huntsman, a blind marksman with a one-shot gun, relies on sound to locate you. Stay silent by crouching with C and hiding under tables. Avoid melee combat due to its auto-aim capability. Instead, place a mine near its path or throw a grenade while crouched to temporarily deafen it for 6 seconds, providing a window to attack with melee weapons.
