April is shaping up to be an exciting month for Marvel Contest of Champions players, with the introduction of the much-anticipated champion, Spider-Woman. Jessica Drew, known as Spider-Woman, brings a unique backstory to the game. Originally exposed to uranium as a child, her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted to save her life with an experimental treatment involving spider DNA. After overcoming the initial side effects, Jessica emerged with extraordinary spider-like powers, setting her on the path to becoming Spider-Woman. Players can add her to their roster starting April 17th.
Before Spider-Woman's debut, another intriguing champion, Lumatrix, will join the fray on April 9th. Designed by the Founders, Lumatrix is a formidable assassin known for his lethal light-based abilities, making him a perfect addition to any team looking for a powerful infiltrator.
The narrative in Marvel Contest of Champions continues to evolve with Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition." In this chapter, Carina suffers severe injuries after encountering Ouroborus forces, while Doctor Doom forms an alliance with the Fantastic Four to combat the spreading Chronoserpent corruption. A new villain, Lotan, also enters the scene, adding to the game's rich storyline.
Starting April 9th and running through May 7th, the new Event Quest, "Spy Games," will see Black Widow delving into the enigma of the Eidols, with Spider-Woman joining her in unraveling the mystery. Additionally, Dark Phoenix returns in the Side Quest "Dark Bounties," challenging players to hunt down targeted champions and claim their rewards.
The "Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector" makes a comeback, offering players the chance to deploy their most powerful Saga champions to earn Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
