Mark your calendars—Fields of Mistria’s third major content update arrives on July 21, 2025, adding features fans have eagerly awaited since its Early Access launch. Highlights include a brand-new dating system, higher heart and skill caps, fresh events and quests, plus numerous quality-of-life upgrades. While the developers have shared a roadmap on Twitter, we’ve broken down the key additions below.

Start Dating Your Favorite Villagers

This update delivers something for every player, including highly requested features from the community. Among the most anticipated additions are deeper interactions with the game’s charming NPCs. Players who've already maxed out friendship hearts can now build even stronger bonds. Eight all-new heart events will offer richer insights into each villager's backstory and personality.

The long-awaited dating feature also makes its debut. Though romantic dialogue has always been part of the experience, players can now officially ask villagers out on dates. And for those who prefer deep friendships without romance, a new Best Friend path lets you strengthen relationships in a purely platonic way.

Progress Further in Restoring Mistria

Your efforts to revive the town of Mistria continue with even more community activities. After the update, the Request Board will feature additional tasks, alongside new Town Repair Quests that bring you closer to fully restoring Mistria. The Museum expands with new collectible sets and exclusive rewards. Even if you’ve already hit Renown Level 90, the cap will increase—giving you more milestones and rewards to pursue.

Unlock New Skill Perks & Enjoy Expanded Storage

Revitalizing Mistria becomes more enjoyable thanks to a raised skill cap and new skill perks, enhancing farming, fishing, foraging, and exploration. As your collections grow, so does the need for storage. Fortunately, quality-of-life upgrades include larger chests and an auto-deposit feature, allowing you to instantly transfer collected items into existing stacks with one click.
