How to Unlock the Monster (Squid) Hunter Trophy/Achievement in Monster Hunter Wilds
While fishing might not be central to the main storyline, it presents a delightful diversion and a distinct questline that culminates in acquiring the necessary gear to pursue this coveted trophy and achievement.
To embark on this journey, you'll need to advance through Kanya’s fishing questline. This involves completing a series of side quests to gather specific items she requires:

Seeking the Goldenfish: Catch the Goldenfish, found in cave water pools. Head to the Scarlet Forest, Area 6, using either the Golden Bughead or Common Wood Minnow baits. The Fallow weather state increases the likelihood of the fish spawning.
Fishing for Favor: Next, catch the Gravid Bowfin at the Scarlet Forest base camp during the Plenty weather condition. Equip the Emerald Jitterbait and cast your line to snag this fish.
The Catch of a Lifetime!: Kanya will then ask you to reel in a Whopper. Any large fish that triggers the reeling minigame will do, with Tuna being a common choice. Visit the Scarlet Forest's lake in Area 17 and patiently reel in your catch.

After completing these quests, Kanya will introduce the Razzle Dazzle quest, which is your gateway to the Monster (Squid) Hunter trophy or achievement in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. Here's how to proceed:
Travel to the Scarlet Forest, specifically Area 17. Ensure the weather is set to Downpour in Inclemency. You can wait at the grill or rest at your camp to change the weather conditions.
Once the conditions are right, go to the lake and wade into the deep end until you can't go further. Look for squids swimming around. If none appear, fast travel to another location and return to see if they spawn.
Equip the Tentacle Jig provided by Kanya and start fishing. While the quest requires you to catch the Grand Escunite, your target for the trophy and achievement is the Goliath Squid. Watch for the blue-glowing shells.
If you hook a squid and the reeling minigame begins, you're on the right track. Keep battling the creature and reel it in when it tires. Once it's close enough to the shore, you'll successfully pull it out, unlocking the trophy or achievement.
That's everything you need to know about securing the Monster (Squid) Hunter trophy or achievement in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and guides, be sure to visit The Escapist.
