In a recent post on Twitter (X), Supergiant Games announced that Hades 2 has been in early access since May 6, 2024. Celebrating this milestone, the developer expressed gratitude to the community for their support and shared that they are steadily advancing towards the game's full release.

Their message stated, "It's been incredibly exciting and eye-opening as we've worked to realize the potential so many of you see in our game. Thank you for all your feedback and patience as we get closer to the finish line!"

The original Hades followed a similar early access path, taking 22 months to reach its full release. However, Supergiant aims to bring Hades 2 to full release more swiftly, starting with a time-exclusive launch on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Launching First on the Nintendo Switch 2

Supergiant Games disclosed in a Nintendo Creator’s Voice video that Hades 2 will debut on the Nintendo Switch 2. With the Switch 2 set to launch on June 5, fans can anticipate Hades 2's release around that time.

As the eagerly awaited sequel to the beloved rogue-like game, Hades 2 marks Supergiant's first venture into creating a sequel. The developers have approached this project with "a great deal of fear and respect," highlighting the challenges and excitement of building upon a successful predecessor.
