Crossplay is finally coming to Baldur's Gate 3! Patch 8, slated for release sometime in 2025, will introduce this highly anticipated feature. But you don't have to wait! When Will Baldur's Gate 3 Crossplay Launch?
While a firm release date for Patch 8 remains unannounced, the January 2025 Stress Test will offer a sneak peek at cross-platform play. This testing phase will help Larian Studios identify and fix any bugs before the full release.
How to Join the Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 Stress Test
Want to be among the first to experience crossplay? Sign up for the Patch 8 Stress Test! The test is open to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players.
Simply complete Larian's Stress Test Registration form. You'll need a Larian account; create one or log in to access the form. The registration process is quick and easy, requiring only basic player information, including your preferred platform.
Keep in mind: registration doesn't guarantee selection. Those chosen will receive an email with instructions on how to participate. Selected testers can provide feedback through forms and Discord.
The Stress Test isn't just about crossplay; it will also assess the impact on mods. Modders and frequent mod users are encouraged to participate to ensure compatibility.
Important Note: For crossplay to work, all players in your group must be part of the Stress Test. Otherwise, you'll have to wait for the official release.
The enduring popularity of Baldur's Gate 3 speaks volumes. Crossplay will undoubtedly further strengthen the community and allow more players to explore Faerûn together.
