Kingambit Debuts in Pokémon Go's Crown Clash

• The Crown Clash event takes place from May 10 to 18.

While you're preparing for the Sweet Discoveries event, Pokémon Go is getting ready for the upcoming Crown Clash, and the timing is truly fit for royalty. From May 10 to 18, you’ll have the opportunity to evolve the powerful Kingambit, wear a crown yourself, collect Shiny Pokémon, and earn bonus XP simply by evolving your Pokémon.

Kingambit, the Big Blade Pokémon, finally arrives in Pokémon Go during the Crown Clash event. To add it to your collection, you’ll need to evolve Bisharp. However, there’s a special requirement: Bisharp must be set as your Buddy Pokémon, and you need to defeat 15 Dark- or Steel-type Pokémon in Raid Battles. Your Bisharp doesn’t have to participate in the battles—just have it accompany you as you secure those victories.

Also making a grand entrance are two new costumed Pokémon—Nidoqueen and Nidoking, each adorned with a dazzling crown. If you’re fortunate, you may even encounter their Shiny forms. These royal Pokémon will feature in three-star raids, while the one-star raid lineup includes Sneasel, Klink, and Pawniard.

The wild spawns are just as exciting. Watch for frequent appearances of Slowpoke (which might reward you with a King’s Rock), Slakoth, Piplup, Combee, Snivy, and Litleo. Pawniard will also appear more often in the wild, if luck is on your side.
