"Marvel Rivals Introduces Spider-Man 2 Game Skin"

Summary

  • Marvel Rivals will debut a new skin based on Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
  • The skin is being added to celebrate Spider-Man 2's PC debut on January 30.

Marvel Rivals has thrilled fans with the announcement of a new skin inspired by the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel's Spider-Man 2, set to release on January 30. This coincides with the much-anticipated PC debut of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, a first-party PlayStation title developed by Insomniac Games. Additionally, Marvel Rivals is set to introduce new skins for Mantis and Doctor Strange on January 17.

In Marvel Rivals, Spider-Man serves as a Duelist, focused on maximizing damage output. With a challenging five-star difficulty rating, mastering Spider-Man requires skill and practice. Players can utilize his web-zip and web-swing abilities to navigate the map swiftly, engaging and disengaging from combat effectively. Spider-Man's toolkit includes webbing enemies, pulling them in for close combat, or delivering powerful uppercuts to knock out opponents. The current Season 1 of Marvel Rivals includes a Midnight Features quest that encourages players to use Spider-Man to earn rewards.

NetEase Games took to Twitter to announce the addition of the Advanced Suit 2.0 as a legendary skin for Marvel Rivals on January 30. The announcement has generated excitement among fans, particularly because Yuri Lowenthal, who voices Spider-Man in both games, adds a layer of authenticity. However, some fans are conflicted, torn between the allure of the Advanced Suit 2.0 and the rumored Lunar New Year Spider-Man skin.

Marvel Rivals Announces the Release of the Advanced Suit 2.0

The Advanced Suit 2.0 retains the iconic red and blue color scheme, highlighted by the distinctive large white spider symbol that has become a hallmark of Insomniac Games' Spider-Man. While fans eagerly anticipate this new cosmetic addition, concerns have been raised about its potential price, given the high cost of MCU skins within Marvel Rivals. Legendary skin bundles typically cost 2,200 Units, but the MCU versions of Spider-Man and Iron Man are priced at 2,600 Units.

For those eager to acquire Units quickly, completing the Heroic Journey achievements in Marvel Rivals is a smart strategy. These challenges reward players with up to 1,500 Units and skins for Storm and Star-Lord. Units and Lattice can then be used to purchase any desired skins from the in-game shop. With a variety of exciting cosmetics on the horizon, fans are eagerly anticipating what NetEase Games has in store next.
