Insight Editions has officially released Pac-Man: The Official Cookbook, now available for purchase on Amazon. Admittedly, I was initially skeptical, much like you might be, about the quality of recipes from a Pac-Man-themed cookbook. However, authors Lisa Kingsley and Jennifer Peterson have truly delivered—they cooked. This 160-page hardcover features over 60 delicious and easy-to-follow recipes perfect for replicating at home. It's an ideal companion for hosting a game night or a video game-themed viewing party for major industry events.
While this new cookbook might seem like an unusual concept, there is actually a significant number of video game cookbooks already on the market. It's somewhat surprising it took this long for Pac-Man to join the culinary fun.

The book offers a wide variety of dishes, from healthy quick bites to full family meals. Every recipe includes clear, step-by-step instructions and vibrant full-color photographs showcasing the final dish. As expected, many recipes feature fun and creative nods to Pac-Man's legacy. You can craft a pepperoni pizza in the iconic shape of Pac-Man, transform Blinky into a hearty tomato soup, whip up sweet cherry pocket pies, and create eerily accurate Ghost cake pops. Personally, the smash burger recipe has caught my eye. Grab your copy of Pac-Man: The Official Cookbook for just $30 to elevate your cooking skills and try something fresh in the kitchen.

In other Pac-Man news, the next title joining the yellow character's library is Shadow Labyrinth. This game presents a unique fusion of the Metroidvania genre and classic Pac-Man mechanics, inspired by the Secret Level episode titled "Circle." Our review of Secret Level awarded it a 5 overall, stating "[w]ith a dubious selection of source material and indistinct animation styles, Secret Level struggles to deliver satisfying stories for a short-form anthology."
